Iceland had always been one of my bucket list locations. Surprisingly, there isn’t a ton of ice there. Can you believe it? LOL. This cliffside Iceland engagement story surrounds Miro and Maya. A genuine, down-to-earth couple who throughout their engagement session could tell were madly and head over heels in love with each other. This is their story.
How It All Began
I first met Miro and Maya on Instagram over a year ago. Over the course of those months, we began getting to know each other, commenting on each other’s things, and really starting to build a genuine connection. It wasn’t until this brilliant plan of me flying out to Iceland to capture their engagement photos finally came to fruition. You have no idea how excited I was.
Cliffside Iceland Engagement
We began our adventure in Reykjavik, Iceland’s capital and largest city. From there, we drove for about an hour toward the ocean. Making sure that we got some of those insanely epic and beautiful views was a must for M+M, so we had to make it happen. Shortly after, we ended up taking a sharp turn off the main highway and drove down a muddy and rugged dirt road. Eventually leading us cliffside over the North Atlantic Ocean. The views were absolutely unreal. Now you’re probably wondering, how did we get around? Luckily, Miro runs an Icelandic tour company and his job is to take visitors off-road to explore Iceland. We were able to use the same car that he uses for his tours, which definitely made it convenient when traveling through the muddy dirt roads.
After spending some time cliffside, we decided to continue with our excursions. We hopped back in the car and took off down another dirt road. This one led us to a field which surrounded completely by phenomenal mountain views. It’s definitely one of those *pinch me I’m dreaming* type moments that makes me so stinkin’ grateful for this job. Hopefully, you all are obsessed with this cliffside Iceland engagement as much as I am :’)
