Intimate Tuscany Italy Wedding

A part of my heart has always lied in Europe. While Vancouver has been my home for quite some time and is where I started being a Vancouver Wedding Photographer, my heart calls me in a different direction. Slowly we are transitioning to not just being a Vancouver Wedding Photographer but really embracing destination weddings more and more. Becoming more in tune with European culture and allowing myself to feel more at home where my roots are. I had the honor of flying out to Italy this Summer to document Megan and Matt in their Intimate Tuscany Italy wedding. The trip fully immersed me in the idea that I am not just a Vancouver Wedding Photographer. I am a Destination Wedding and Elopement Photographer. This intimate Tuscany Italy wedding stole my heart and captured my soul and hopefully, it speaks to you too.

Megan & Matt’s Intimate Tuscany Italy Wedding

Megan and Matt’s Intimate Tuscany Wedding was everything you could have ever imagined it to be.. and more. Tuscany, Italy is the birthplace of the Italian Renaissance. It’s also known for its beautiful landscaping, architecture, and history. Making for a stunning and romantic destination wedding location for any couple. For Megan and Matt, they wanted to focus on intentionality. With a small guest count, they got married in a beautiful outdoor backyard intimate wedding. The sun was shining and emotions were flowing as they celebrated their love with only their close family and friends.

Wedding Reception at Poggio Molina

After their brief and intimate wedding ceremony, we dedicated some time to wedding portraits. One thing that Tuscany, Italy definitely does not lack is the stunning beauty and photo locations. Lush green ivy and a brisk summer breeze were all that we needed in order to take some of the most epic Intimate Tuscany Italy wedding portraits I’ve ever seen.

Shortly after their intimate wedding ceremony and portraits, we made our way to Poggio Molina. Poggio Molina is a boutique winery and estate that is the perfect private oasis for your Tuscany Italy intimate wedding. It was here that an intimate dinner celebration was held. Not to mention, the wine was absolutely divine (I didn’t drink any, but based on everyone’s reaction, you could get the picture) – LOL. As the sun began to set I stole Megan and Matt for some final portraits amongst the vineyard. Mountains loomed behind us as the sky turned into shades of cotton candy. It was a romance novel brought to life and the perfect way to celebrate Megan and Matt’s story.
